This project required our stone to not only match the “buff” Indiana limestone of the original
capitol building built in 1917 but also the material of another Supplier. Arkansas Precast
from Little Rock, AR produced the larger precast sections and we produced nearly 4,000
pieces which formed the radius wall panels. All of the precast and cast stone were installed
by Advanced Masonry, Inc.

The quality of the columns, capitals, arches and additional elements help
create, as well as reinforce, the Mediterranean appearance of this, said the
judges. The jury was highly impressed by the quality of work knowing the
producer was responsible for all phases of development, from designing
to installation. They were impressed that the load bearing columns were
not only aesthetic but were functional.

Advanced Masonry was awarded “Best Brick Project” for the southwest region
for their work on the Midfirst Bank building at 5800 N. Western. This building
features handmade brick laid in Flemish bond and cast stone details. This beautiful
Gothic architecture allows for the imagination of the architect to be showcased with
cast stone & hand-made brick layed with Flemish bond. It has many features such
as star-burst patterns, cast in letters and structural lintels and arches.
