When building your final forever home, you strive for perfection but often find yourself settling for good or even mediocre. For this once, the gods must have been smiling on us. After resolving the house design we would use we embarked on adding interior elements that would make our house our home. Luckily, through a family member, we were led to DeVinci Cast Stone web site featuring their fireplace surrounds. As the focal point of our living area, if not our home, we chose to install the Valencia model. Later that year, our builder was selected to be the Austin area builder of the year focusing on our home and in no small part to the beauty and warmth of our fireplace.
Now, these few years later, as we trim our house for the upcoming Christmas season, and as we hang the stockings for our children and grandchildren, I can’t help but sit back and marvel at the warmth and beauty that our fireplace brings.

They installed a new fireplace mantel and surround in a new home we’re building. They were very helpful in choice of style and balance of size to match wall. DeVinci Cast Stone assisted me throughout this entire process. I knew nothing about cast stone mantels other than I knew they were beautiful. Haley Husmann assisted me in planning the right mantel for my room style and size. She had me send her before pics. She sketched a drawing after we chose an appropriate style. I was given a completion time line and that date came early! I made arrangements for DeVinci to install. Tom and his assistant did a superior job. They arrived early in the morning and worked diligently the entire day. It was worth every penny! I have nothing but complimentary words for this company.

We wanted a cast stone fireplace in our new home. I worked with DeVinci cast stone, and Lonnie was awesome. We were worried that the fireplace could overpower the room. Lonnie helped us choose one that was perfect. When asked how it would look, she made a professional engineering drawing of the fireplace with complete measurements. When asked to change the edges of the top mantle to a bullnose instead of a sharp edge, no problem. The installation went perfect. I recommend everyone to DeVinci Cast Stone.

They were very helpful and worked with me to get exactly what I wanted for my living room. They worked with my plans to design the fireplace. They were great showing the various options, colors and finishes in their yard.
They coordinated the fireplace construction with my builder. It was a new house so they had to come out and do different parts of the fireplace construction as the house was being built. The firebox is built on site (real bricks, not a facade), it had to be built after framing. Once drywall and painting is complete the mantle is installed.
I wanted the transition from the wood floor to the hearth to the firebox to be flat and they were able to accommodate me and specified how the marble was to be cut from the marble company.
The model is the “Abbey” it is about 76″ high and 102″ wide. A nice sized fireplace for the large two story room. It has a herring bone pattern in the firebox. It is a wood burning capable model with a chimney.
